Well the Health Care Bill passed by a vote of 219-212, and the reconciliation bill of fixes passed 220-211 Sunday night.  I'm sure most people already know about Bart Stupak selling his soul to Mr. Obama for an Executive Order to change the abortion wording.  The actual bill will probably be signed by Obama tomorrow (3/23/2010) and the bill of fixes goes to the Senate.  So the Health Care Bill will be law tomorrow and then what?  I've tried to parse some of this bill and get an idea of how it will effect me, my workplace and my parents.  But about the only thing that I'm sure about is that the insurance companies must lift their out of pocket limits and exclusions.  Other than that it will take a lot of time to get the rest of this in place.  How are they going to implement these state run exchange programs?  Will the smaller private insurance companies be pushed out of business, in turn leading to more unemployment?  I guess if you can go back to college and become a CPA you could work for the IRS which will require about 15,000 more employees in the next few years.  Will the small company that I work for go out of business or lay off many of it's employees?  If they have less then 50 employees supposedly they wont have to pay a fine for not offering insurance.  So will many other small businesses cut down employees to under the magic 50 number?  What about older folks like my parents that use Medicare or Medicare Advantage?  What will be cut from their benefits?

I present these questions because I don't really think that ANYONE has the answers.  This bill wasn't about Health Care, it was about CONTROL.  I challenge anyone to answer my questions with 100% confidence and assuredness.  This bill gets implemented little by little over the next 10 years, so it's not like a bomb going off, but more like getting hit in the head by one on those little plastic toy hammers over and over again.  They will be taking control of our lives one step and a time and most people won't even notice or care for that matter.  Most people will be happy living their own pathetic little lives, driving a Prius, and full of warm fuzzies because the Government is taking care of their every need.  And those people don't have to feel guilty about the people that are less-off, because the Government will be taking care of them to.  What a happy little Utopia...

NO WAY!!  We can not let this happen to our country.  The states will be fighting this in the courts, the Republicans will be fighting the bill of fixes in the Senate, and we must fight it in the trenches.  We are not powerless and we the people will be heard in November and in 2012.
