Tim Tebow was the first sophomore in history to win a Heisman trophy. He was the first college football player to rush and pass for 20 touchdowns in a season. He led the Florida Gators to two national championships and will probably go down in history as one of the greatest college football players in history.  Yet even more impressive to me is the fact that he is a great person and Christian.  He prays before and after each game, he wears bible verses on his eye stickers, he was in a Pro-Life commercial, he stays out of trouble, and he is humble.

Tim Tebow was born to Bob and Pam Tebow in the Philippines on August 14, 1987 while they were serving as Christian missionaries. His mom suffered a life-threatening infection and because of the drugs used to save her life the doctor expected a stillbirth and recommended an abortion.  Obviously they decided against the abortion are glad that they did.  This story was actually the premise of the Super Bowl commercial that received so much controversy.  Controversy from the Liberal Pro-Choice faction.

Tim is the youngest of five children and all of them were home schooled by his mother Pam.  It has been his parents Christian teachings that have made him such a remarkable young man.

Tim was the 25th pick in the first round to the Denver Bronco's of the NFL draft today.  The 2010 NFL draft is taking place at Radio City Music Hall but Tim Tebow was not there in person.  He decided that he wanted to be with the people that have helped him get to where he is... his family.

In this day and age of selfish, ignorant, punks in the NFL like Ben Roethlisberger and Michael Vick, it's nice to see a good wholesome Christian.
