For my own writing most of the time I avoid the major headline stories and look for less popular interesting news. But I feel that I must give this story my attention.

Shirley Sherrod WAS the USDA director of Rural Development in Georgia. Over the past few days she has become the main news topic because biggovernment.com provided a short video of her supposedly being racially biased. That video was only 2:36 and I don't think that it actually shows the real premise of the real story. So Shirley was ASKED to resign immediately because the Obama Administration said that Glenn Beck was going to be focusing on this story.

Here are a few quotes from the short video that caused so much commotion:

"He had to come to me for help. What he didn't know while he was taking all that time trying to show me he was superior to me was I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give him,"

"I was struggling with the fact that so many black people have lost their farmland and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land -- so I didn't give him the full force of what I could do."

I'm not sure what to make of this yet, the Obama Administration might be using Shirley and throwing her under the bus, or maybe Shirley has a dark side, but I will update this post as new FACTUAL information is released.
