On Wednesday Sept. 8th, Mr. Obama gave a speech in Parma, OH. Of course Obama and his speech were given high praise by all the Liberal/Progressive media outlets. Washington Post, NY Times, LA Times, CBS, NBC. I was bombarded by all of this in the first two pages from a Google search. It’s strange that I couldn’t find anything negative until the 3rd page. So here is my 2 cents worth of information regarding Obama’s speech.
Courtesy of Cleveland.com, it turns out that it wasn’t exactly a packed house for Mr. Obama.
With less than an hour before President Obama's scheduled speech, 75 seats remained empty in the recreation center at Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus. So organizers went around campus and recruited more students to fill the seats.
Here are some key quotes from the speech that are worth mentioning.
“I believe it’s the private sector that must be the main engine for our recovery.”
“I’ve never believed that it’s government’s role to create jobs or prosperity. I believe it’s the drive and ingenuity of our entrepreneurs, small businesses, the skill and dedication of our works that’s made us the wealthiest nation on earth. “
Then stop spending, cut taxes, and get the hell out of the way.
“The same philosophy that led to this mess in the first place.”
“The flawed policies and economic weaknesses of the previous decade culminated in a financial crisis and the worst recession of our lifetimes.”
Wow, I’m glad you’re still not taking any responsibility for yourself.
“I believe government should be lean, government should be efficient, I believe government should lead people free to make the choices that are best for themselves and their families so long as those choices don’t hurt others.”
Oops, the text version of his speech reads “I believe government should leave people free”.
